弁護士はかわいそう？

A woman and her little girl were visiting the grave of the little girl's grandmother.

一人の女の人と小さな女の子がおばあさんのお墓参りにやってきました。

On their way　through the cemetery back to the car, the little girl asked, "Mommy, do they ever bury two people in the same grave?"

車まで墓地を通って帰る途中で小さな女の子がたずねました。「ママ、お墓には2人いっぺんに埋めることもあるの？」

"Of course not, dear." replied the mother, "Why would you think that?"

「もちろんそんなことはないわよ」母親は答えました。「どうしてそんなことを考えたの？」

"The tombstone back there said, 'Here lies a lawyer and an honest man.'"

「お墓の石の裏に「ここに弁護士と正直な男が眠る」って書いてあったの」
